Sandie and I got out this weekend to do some of our first touristy stuff. We took a river cruise on the Rhein river that goes from the cities of Mainz to St. Goar. The cruise actually goes all the way up to Köln (Cologne) but that takes hours, so we only went to St. Goar and then took the train back.
This castle is actually on an island in the Rhein river and looks like a boat (click for bigger pic).
At Burg Rheinfels in St. Goar:
We saw lots of castles from the boat and when we got to St Goar we toured Burg Rheinfels, which you can walk all through. We even found a troll.
