A lovely afternoon in Köln

Köln is "Cologne" and both of them are the same city in Germany. Sandie and I cruised up there for a Sunday afternoon with our buddy Mike.

Köln is mostly known for this dingy cathedral in the picture behind us. We took the tour. It's really truly amazing how long the cathedral has been in use, under construction in different phases, bombed, rebuilt, etc.

 Also notable about the notable city of Köln is the beer known as Kölsch. Kölsch is the name of a light summertime beer originating in Köln. One very popular brand is Früh, which is a brewery in Köln.

Kölsch is drank from tall skinny glasses. I'm sorry I don't have a pic of the glasses, but I'm sure if you find yourself someplace that serves proper Kölsch, they'll have the glasses for it.
